Non-Reasons Camp

New Camp Format!

This is a new camp that will focus on the Texas FFA contest format; however, it is open to any 4-H and FFA member. We will have live classes of breeding and market animals in each species. Additionally, we will cover Keep/Cull, performance data, and feeder and slaughter cattle grading. Questions on each class will be emphasized throughout the camp, but there will be NO ORAL REASONS. Campers will have the opportunity to compete in a contest at the end of camp.

We encourage ag teachers/coaches/parents to attend this camp with their students. These individuals will go through all live classes, and have breakout sessions for coaching strategy and roundtable discussions.

  • Camp 1: June 15-16, 2023
  • Location: Louis Pearce Pavilion
  • Cost: $225 – Include meals, literature, and t-shirt (does NOT include lodging) | $150 for ag teachers/parents/chaperones
