Production/Industry Option

Students seeking careers in animal production, agricultural extension work, or feed sales usually select the animal production/industry option. This curriculum prepares students for careers in animal-oriented agribusinesses. Other courses, in addition to animal science courses, include accounting, agricultural economics, management, and finance. A wide array of internships giving students invaluable experience in all phases of livestock production and related industries is available. Students with an interest in a specific species are encouraged to enroll in directed electives and/or disciplinary focus courses.

Career Options

The diverse coursework of this track prepares students for a variety of careers in industries such as animal production, agricultural extension work, feed sales, or animal-oriented agribusinesses.
