You do not have to be an Animal Science major to pursue the certificate, but you will need to work with your respective advising office to make sure the classes fit in your degree plan. Students can refer to their Howdy portal for the course catalog. In general the following classes are offered during multiple semesters: ANSC 201, 211, 221, 311, and 494. ANSC 411, 420, and 423 are currently offered in spring semesters only. At this time, all classes for the certificate are taught in person (with the exception of completing an internship).
The certificate is intended for currently enrolled students. However, there are several short courses or other educational resources provided by AgriLife Extension that are open to non-students.
