Home of the 2026 National Champion Women’s Team
The Aggie Rodeo Club was founded in 1919, establishing a tradition of rodeo at Texas A&M that spans more than a century. In 1949, the Texas Aggie Rodeo Team helped found the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) and has since built a proud legacy of success, earning numerous regional and national titles while competing in NIRA’s Southern Region. Today, Texas Aggie Rodeo is designated as a competitive team within the Department of Animal Science, continuing its longstanding tradition of excellence in collegiate rodeo.

The competitive teams program at Texas A&M University is rich in tradition, attracting students from across the nation. The program can be traced to the early 1900s with the first Texas A&M University Livestock Judging Team. Texas A&M University competitive teams have maintained a tradition of excellence, securing championship titles for many years.
