Professional Summary

Dr. Sushil Paudyal joined the Department of Animal Science as an Assistant Professor in January 2019. Dr. Paudyal received a bachelor’s degree in veterinary science and animal husbandry from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He was a graduate research assistant at Texas A & M Agrilife Research in Amarillo. During this time, he received master’s degree in animal science from the Department of Agricultural Science at West Texas A&M University. He obtained his doctoral degree from the Department of Animal Sciences at Colorado State University, specializing in dairy herd management.

Dr. Paudyal’s research interest focus on using herd and animal level data for decision making in dairy farms. His research utilizes innovative technologies to optimize production, health, and well-being of dairy cattle.

Dr. Paudyal is a member of the American Dairy Science Association, the American Society of Animal Science, and has received accreditation as a Professional Animal Scientist from ARPAS.
