Professional Summary

Chad Coburn is currently the Livestock Judging Coordinator-Senior Lecturer at Texas A&M. Prior to this appointment, he was employed by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as an Agriculture/Natural Resources Agent for 29 years in Runnels, Sterling and Howard Counties.
He was awarded the Distinguished Agent recognition in 2021. Chad’s 4-H Livestock Judging Teams have won over 250 titles including the 2018 and 2019 Texas 4H State Championships.
Chad enjoys judging livestock shows across the country. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family, especially his new grandson, and traveling.
He is married to his wife Traci for 28 years. She is a 3rd grade teacher at Navasota ISD. His daughter Addison is the Program Coordinator, Alumni and Stakeholder Engagement at Texas A&M. Her husband Sage is a PhD student in Meat Science and is the Director of the Rosenthal Center at A&M. Chad’s son Gunner is a Master’s Animal Science student and will be an Assistant Livestock Judging Coach, also at Texas A&M.
