Howdy! My name is Travis Barrett, and I will be serving as the Cattle Chair for Animal Science Ambassadors this year! I am going into my sophomore year here at Texas A&M and am from Normangee, Texas. I grew up working on my family’s cattle operation, where I developed a passion for the cattle industry and animal agriculture at a young age. Growing up around cattle has given me hands-on experience with everything from herd health and nutrition to breeding and reproduction, which has played a huge role in my decision to pursue a degree in Animal Science. This year, I am excited to serve on the leadership team and share my passion for the cattle industry with others. I am looking forward to getting more involved within the Animal Science Department, meeting new people, and helping create opportunities for Ambassadors to learn more about the cattle industry and all that it has to offer!
