Animal Welfare Judging Team

The Texas A&M Animal Welfare Judging Team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 AVMA Animal Welfare Assessment Contest, earning the national championship title for the third time and placing among the top individuals in a field of more than 270 participants. Students evaluated welfare across a diverse range of species, including dressage horses, gaboon vipers, pet gerbils and tilapia in a live aquaculture assessment. Their continued success reflects strong preparation, scientific understanding and excellence in every assessment scenario.
