Professional Summary

Conner McKinzie, a Stephenville, TX native, serves as an agricultural science teacher with Lubbock ISD, where he leads the Food Science Pathway and mentors students in agriscience fair projects and public speaking competitions. A proud Texas Tech University alumnus, Conner earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science while actively competing in the Department’s judging program.

During his time at Tech, he was a member of multiple national championship teams, including the 2018 National Champion Wool Judging Team, 2019 National Champion Meat Judging Team, 2020 Livestock Judging Team, and the 2021 Reserve National Champion Meat Animal Evaluation Team. Following his competitive career, he served alongside his wife, Taylor, as a graduate research assistant and assistant meat judging coach, helping guide the 2021 National Champion Meat Judging Team and the 2022 Meat Judging Team.

Conner and Taylor recently celebrated three years of marriage and are now thrilled to begin the next chapter —bringing their passion, experience, and dedication to continue the winning tradition in Aggieland.
