The Texas A&M University Department of Animal Science is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Distinguished Awards Program, which recognizes alumni and friends who exemplify leadership, service and excellence in animal science.

The awards honor individuals whose professional achievements and service reflect Texas A&M’s core values of excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect and selfless service. Award categories include the Animal Science Hall of Fame Award, Outstanding Alumni Award, and Outstanding Early Career Alumni Award. Click here to review the full guidelines for each award.

Nominations must be submitted using the Department of Animal Science External Awards Program Nomination Form linked below and are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2026. Completed nomination materials should be submitted to Kaydee Free.

Selected award recipients will be recognized at the Department of Animal Science Awards Banquet, held in April of each year.
