The Texas A&M Department of Animal Science hosted its annual tailgate October 4 at the Student Recreation Center. Faculty, former students, students, parents and friends gathered for an afternoon of food, fellowship and community before the Aggies BTHO Mississippi State. Guests enjoyed barbecue from Southside Market & Barbeque and gathered to share stories and reconnect with members of the Animal Science community. Yard games, photo opportunities and game-day giveaway items added to the excitement and showcased the Aggie spirit.

Wes Klett with Anipro Xtraformance Nutrition sponsored the event and made the celebration possible. His support reflects a shared commitment to fostering connection and engagement within the Animal Science community and across the agricultural industry. Faculty, former students and friends enjoyed time together while connecting with current students and celebrating the connections that make the department of animal science special.

As kickoff approached, many guests headed to Kyle Field to cheer on the Aggies. The win over Mississippi State capped a memorable day filled with tradition, camaraderie and departmental pride. The Department of Animal Science thanks everyone who attended and supported this year’s tailgate and looks forward to hosting another successful tailgate next fall.
