This July, the Texas A&M University Meat Judging Team traveled to Wagga Wagga, Australia, to compete in the Intercollegiate Meat Judging Contest, hosted by ICMJ, Charles Sturt University, and Teys Wagga Wagga. The Aggies were the only U.S. team invited to participate in the contest and conference, proudly representing the United States on the international stage.

The team delivered a standout performance, earning the Overall Champion Team title and the Overall High Individual award.

In addition to competing, the students attended the ICMJ conference, where they connected with global industry professionals, gaining valuable insights and building international networks in the meat science industry.

We are proud of the team’s dedication and the hard work they demonstrated throughout the year. Special thanks to coaches Drew Cassens and Gage Walsh for their leadership and support of the competitors.
