McGregor Research Center Field Day Set for May 18

Make plans to attend the McGregor Research Center Field Day on Thursday, May 18, in McGregor, Texas.

The agenda includes speakers from across the industry and Texas A&M University, including faculty in the Department of Animal Science, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and more. After a welcome from Ryon Walker, Ph.D., operations manager for McGregor Research Center, he will provide a look into the past, present and future of the research center. Discussions will include data management and understanding soil health in a sustainable ranching world. There will also be an update from the McLennan County Extension office, department of animal science administration and AgriLife Research administration.

The field day will include research tour stops featuring animal science faculty and graduate students. A cattle and commodity market update, presented by an extension specialist in the department of agricultural economics, will wrap up the field day.
