Frequently Asked Questions
Does there have to be one adult per child?
No. If you have more than one child attending camp one parent/adult can sponsor them. Please just specify which children you are sponsoring.
Will meals be provided?
Yes. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday.
However, dinner each night will be on your own.
How long does camp generally last?
- Based on previous years, camp will begin with check-in for 10-12:30 on Friday.
- Camp will officially begin at 1 p.m. and usually last until 6:30 p.m.
- There will a dinner break (generally one hour to one and a half hours), and then campers will be asked to come back to Pearce for approximately one hour.
- Camp will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and is usuallydismissed by 2 p.m. on Sunday.
Are goats provided?
Animals will not be provided. If for some reason the child is not able to provide a goat, contact us and we will try to assist you in finding one but can not guarantee one.
What does the camp cost include?
With the camp cost you receive a t-shirt or cap, and four meals. Parents and campers both receive these things.
Do we have to reserve our own hotel room?
Campers are in charge of finding their own place to stay. There is motel information on the website for a host hotel. We suggest you find rooms early because the weekend of camp is also fire school week, and motels fill up quickly.
Is it important for parents to be at camp during the day?
We strongly suggest parents attend through the duration of the camp. Parents will obtain just as much information, if not more, than the children. It is extremely beneficial to both parents and their campers.
