At Texas A&M there are approximately 1,200 undergraduate students pursuing a degree in animal science and over 100 students seeking advanced degrees in animal science, animal breeding, or physiology of reproduction. Students in the department receive scientific training through hands-on experience and laboratories. The department provides several options for extracurricular activities including student clubs internships and competitive judging teams.
