Meat Science Quiz Bowl Team competes at Reciprocal Meat Conference in Madison, Wisconsin

2014 Quiz Bowl Team David Bayona Hope Voegele Andrew Fry Madison Perkins Emery Kunze Emily Mahalitc Ashley Miller Shelby Martin Travis Trent

The Texas A&M University Quiz Bowl Team competed at the American Meat Science Association Reciprocal Meat Conference at Madison, Wisconsin on Sunday, June 15, 2014. Two four-member teams went deep in the double-elimination tournament before they were eliminated. In true 12th Man tradition, Emily Mahalitc joined the Ohio State University team to help them field a four-member team.

Members of the 2014 team were  David-Elias Bayona, San Antonio, Texas; Andrew Fry, Dumas, Texas; Emery Kunze, LaCoste, Texas; Emily Mahalitc, Eagle Lake, Texas; Shelby Martin, Llano, Texas; Ashley Miller, League City, Texas; Madison Perkins, Gainesville, Texas; Travis Trent, Cabot, Arkansas; and Hope Voegele, West, Texas. The team was coached by Lindsey Mehall with assistance from Michael Berto, Caroline Gonzalez, Jessie Morrill, and Michael Yeater. Dan Hale serves at the faculty coordinator for the team.

Congratulations to the team and its coaches for its success and dedicated work this spring preparing for this contest.
