The Texas A&M Dairy Challenge Team in front of the Kleberg Animal and Food Science Center.

The 2021 Western Regional Dairy Challenge contest was held virtually March 3-5. Students received contest data and participated in virtual farm tours on Wednesday and presented their findings to the judges on Friday. The Department of Animal Science team, consisting of five students, placed second in the contest. The team will go on to compete virtually at the national contest in April.

Team members are Christopher Childress, junior; Wyatt Harlan, sophomore; Lindsey Heywood, senior; Paige Howard, senior; and Natalie Koke, senior. Dr. Sushil Paudyal, instructional assistant professor, serves as coach for the Dairy Challenge Team.
