The Texas A&M Livestock Judging Team won the 2016 American Royal Senior Collegiate Livestock Judging Contest held October 29, 2016, in Kansas City, Mo. Members of the team include: Jake Pickering, Oroville, CA; Quest Newberry, George West, TX; Justin Vehige, Bonnets Mills, MO; Payton Warmke, Brenham, TX; Blayze Bierschwale, Lampasas, TX; Wayne Morse, Kingsbury, TX; Denton Lowe, Amber, OK; Brantley Bordovsky, Port Lavaca, TX.

A total of 23 senior college teams competed in the 2016 American Royal competition. Texas A&M won the oral reasons division. Jake Pickering was 3rd overall and Quest Newberry 9th overall. The top five teams included Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, South Dakota State, and Iowa State.

The team is coached by Brant Poe of Bryan, TX, Keaton Dodd of Blanco, TX, and Owen MacFarlane of MacArthur, CA.
