Women in Ranching – Educational Retreat

June 15-20, 2026; Box R Ranch – Cora, Wyoming


Women in Ranching is a six-day immersive retreat open to all, but designed to empower women, through hands-on ranching education, horsemanship, and community-building in the beautiful setting of the Box R Ranch in western Wyoming. This unique program blends practical ranch management skills with outdoor adventure and personal enrichment, offering participants an unforgettable experience surrounded by the Bridger Teton Wilderness and just a short drive from Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park.

Educational Topics and Program Activites

  • Horsemanship and stockmanship
  • Cattle behavior, handling, and management
  • Beef production fundamentals
  • Ranch roping instruction and practice
  • Horseback riding on the ranch and nearby wilderness areas
  • Fellowship, fireside conversations, and community-building
  • Six-day, five-night retreat at Box R Ranch
  • Onsite lodging included
  • Horses, cattle, and ranch facilities included

Program Schedule at a Glance

Day 1 – June 15: Arrival

Day 5 – June 19: Exploration Day

On-your-own excursions such as

  • Jackson Hole
  • Grant Teton National Park
  • Yellowstone National Park
  • Additional time on the Ranch

Day 6 – June 20: Departure

  • Farewell breakfast
  • Check-out

Course Participation

Open to adults 18 years and older. This retreat is ideal for women interested in expanding their livestock management and horsemanship skills. Newcomers wanting foundational experience in horsemanship and cattle handling. Agriculture professionals seeking hands-on learning opportunities. Anyone looking to connect with a community of like-minded individuals in agriculture

Registration Details

Make it a trip by bringing friends or family along and taking advantage of the discounted double or triple occupancy rates. Sharing a room lowers your cost and adds to the fun and fellowship of the week.

Registration is limited to 20 participants to ensure an intimate, high-quality learning experience.

  • Single Occupancy: $2,200 per person
  • Double Occupancy: $1,800 per person
  • Triple Occupancy or more: $1,500 per person

Includes: onsite lodging, meals, education sessions, horses, cattle use, ranch access and exploration day flexibility.
