Stock Horse Team completes successful semester
Writer: Morgan Moreno The Texas A&M Stock Horse Team competed at three major events this fall, claiming many awards in addition to giving back to the community. In September, the team won the title of Champion Collegiate Team at the Stock Horse of Texas show in Bryan. Stock horse team has successful season
The Texas A&M University Stock Horse team has had a successful spring. At the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, Stock Horse team members Anissa Cervera and Lane Birkenfeld paired with Texas Aggie Rodeo team members to compete in the Collegiate Ranch Rodeo Showdown. This was a head to head competition against Texas Tech University. Together, the Stock Horse and Rodeo teams brought home the Champion title! Texas A&M Stock Horse Team wins reserve title
BRYAN — The Texas A&M University Stock Horse Team earned the reserve champion collegiate title at the Stock Horse of Texas Show held in Bryan on Sept. 26. The team is coached by animal science graduate student Michelle Glover and assistant coach Paige Linne. Texas A&M secured several individual honors and class wins to capture the reserve finish. Texas A&M Stock Horse Team wins championship title
By Olivia Norton ’16 Decatur – The Texas A&M Stock Horse Team won the championship title at the American Stock Horse Association Intercollegiate Show for the third consecutive year. On Oct. 26 the Aggies cruised to the top ahead of North Central Texas College and Tarleton University earning the highest team award and adding to its collection, multiple individual honors. State 4-H Horse Show features 1,821 entries
The 52nd Texas State 4-H Horse Show, considered one of the top state 4-H shows in the nation, featured 1,821 entries with more than 600 horses and 474 4-Hers.
