D’Souza awarded inaugural Cactus Feeders scholarship and internship

NAMI Scholarship Foundation announces 2017-2018 award winners
The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) Scholarship Foundation has announced the recipients of its 2017-2018 undergraduate scholarship awards. Eleven high-performing undergraduate students received a combined total of $55,000 dollars to pursue degrees in animal, meat and food science, and in culinary arts. Jessie Van Buren received the Frank DeBenedetti Memorial Scholarship to continue her studies in animal science and mathematics at the University of Idaho. Engle receives travel grant for ISAG conference in Dublin
COLLEGE STATION – Bailey Engle, an animal science graduate student at Texas A&M University, has been awarded a travel bursary to present her research at the International Society for Animal Genetics Conference in Dublin, Ireland in July. She received the grant based on the recommendations of the Animal Genetics journal editors. Crossland receives Farr Scholarship
COLLEGE STATION – Whitney Crossland, an animal science graduate student at Texas A&M University, is a recipient of the W.D. Farr Scholarship for the 2015-2016 school year from the National Cattlemen’s Foundation. The $12,000 scholarship recognizes outstanding students who plan to pursue careers in meat science and animal agriculture. Meat science students awarded scholarships at SMA Convention
SAN ANTONIO — Several meat science students in the Department of Animal Science are recipients of scholarships presented during the 59th Southwest Meat Association Annual Convention held in San Antonio July 22-25, 2015. The Bob Ondrusek Memorial Scholarship was presented to Texas A&M graduate students Drew Cassens, Courtney Boykin, Aeriel Belk, Clay Eastwood, McKensie Harris, Hillary Henderson and Crystal Waters; and undergraduate students McCalley Cunningham, Micki Gooch, Kline Jones, Madalynn Kainer and Shelby Schiefelbein.
