Acuff appointed to national advisory committee
Contact: Blair Fannin, 979-845-2259, b-fannin@tamu.edu COLLEGE STATION – Dr. Gary Acuff, director of the Texas A&M Center for Food Safety in College Station, has been appointed as a new member of the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods. The appointment was made recently by U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack. The national committee provides scientific advice on public health issues related to the safety and wholesomeness of the U.S. food supply, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
