The Department of Animal Science competitive teams are back at work this fall. Students are preparing for upcoming contests across the country, and the horse judging team has already earned top honors.

Horse Judging Team

The Texas A&M Horse Judging Team won Champion Team at the 2025 American Paint Horse Association, APHA, Lonestar Gathering in Fort Worth. The team also claimed Champion Team in Halter and Reasons and Reserve Champion Team in Performance.

Sarah Schobert Moriarty and Megan Miller coach the team, with assistant coaches Elena Betteridge, AJ Kendrick and Hannah Vierling.
