Texas A&M Summer Horsemanship School Program Celebrates Its 50th Year

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Summer Horsemanship School Program just completed its 50th consecutive year of sending collegiate horsemanship instructors throughout Texas to teach horsemanship. This tremendously successful educational program serves to strengthen the foundation of horsemanship and develop advanced riding skills for youth, as well as adults. Meat Judging and Lamb & Goat Camps Host Youth in Aggieland

Aggieland Lamb and Goat Camp The 24th Annual Aggieland Lamb and Goat Camps were held in July hosting 185 youth exhibitors and 250 adults. These three-day camps teach the fundamentals feeding, nutrition, health, facilities, selection, and showmanship of lamb and goats. Youth participate in 13th annual Horse Judging Camps

This year marked the 13th consecutive summer for TAMU to offer youth horse judging camps.  Two camps were offered at the Thomas G. Hildebrand Equine Complex and over 70 campers from Texas, Arkansas, Georgia and California attended. State 4-H Horse Show wraps up 57th year

The 57th Annual Texas State 4-H Horse Show was hosted in Bryan, Texas, at the Brazos County Expo Complex, July 20th – 27th. Over 325 youth from around the state showcased their horses in 40+ classes across multiple disciplines.
