Skinner wins national advising award

LAS VEGAS — Amber Skinner, academic advisor in the Department of Animal Science, is a recipient of an Outstanding New Advisor Certificate of Merit in the Academic Advising – Primary Role category from the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), the Global Community for Academic Advising. Long-time employee Don Palmer passes away

Don Palmer, a long-time employee of the Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center, passed away March 31, 2015 after a brief illness. Don made tremendous and lasting contributions to the meat science teaching, research and extension programs. Equally important, he was a great person who was well liked and respected by students, faculty and staff. Don will be sincerely missed.
