Both the livestock and wool judging teams competed at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo™ judging contests. The wool team brought back reserve champion honors and the livestock team placed third. In addition to reserve, the wool team also placed fourth overall with a second team.
Livestock judging team members include Clayton Schram, Sealy; Harrison Smith, Gatesville; Kelsey Jozwiak, Hempstead; Emily June Kelley, Yoakum; Maddison Holder, Alvarado; Logan Browne, Bowling Green, Ohio; Ryon Cox, Mt. Pleasant; Garrett Wildman, Banquette; Scott Chachere, Dyaton; Ally Spears, Brentwood, Calif.; Jordan Hevner, Adkins; and Carly Hoffman, New Braunfels. The coach of the livestock judging team is Keaton Dodd.
Oklahoma State University won the contest with Texas Tech University placing second, followed by Kansas State University in fourth and the University of Nebraska in fifth. In addition to the team win, Clayton Schram was the reserve champion high individual.

The reserve champion win is particularly special to the wool team as Houston is considered their national contest. The team is proud to bring the Reserve National Championship title to Aggieland. The team also had several members place in the top 10 individually. Chase Heffernan was the reserve champion high individual, Kyla Gladson placed sixth, Emily Watson was ninth and Bo Garcia was tenth. Wool judging team members include Sarah Crum, Iredell; Devin Fisher, Rockdale; Isolde Parrish, Troy; Ashley Wilde, Wall; Menzi Spiller, Elbert, Colo.; Bo Garcia, La Vernia; Chase Hefernan, Georgetown; J.D. Schnitker, Turkey; Emily Watson, Alvarado; Kyla Goodson, Del Rio; Morgan Thomas, Raymondville; and Whitney Whitsel, Giddings. Coaches are Kade Hodges, Kyle Ramsey and Rachel Gibbs.
Angelo State University won the contest and had a second team place third, followed by Texas Tech University in fifth.
