COLLEGE STATION — Nicole Burdick, a doctoral graduate of the Department of Animal Science, is a recipient of the 2011 Association of Former Students Distinguished Graduate Student Award for Excellence in Doctoral Research presented March 31, 2011, in College Station.This award recognizes Burdick’s outstanding academic record and excellence in research. Selection for this award is based on the student’s research and scholastic achievements.Burdick earned a doctorate in physiology of reproduction in August 2010 while working under the direction of Drs. Tom Welsh, Jeff Carroll and Ron Randel. Burdick now works as a research immunologist at the USDA-ARS in Lubbock.
