Dr. Bill Holloway is professor and resident director of research at the Research and Extension Center at Uvalde. He is also a member of the animal nutrition section in the Department of Animal Science. He received a bachelor's degree from Abilene Christian University and a master's and doctorate from Oklahoma State University.
Currently, he divides his time between administrative and research responsibilities. The thrust of research at Uvalde is on biological principles that underlie risk management. Specific interest areas include the processes governing dynamics at plant-animal interfaces or landscape-animal population interactions.
Before joining the TAMU Department of Animal Science, Holloway was a feedlot nutrition researcher at Mississippi State University and taught and conducted cow-calf research for the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Professional memberships include the American Society of Animal Science, Sigma Xi, Gamma Sigma Delta, Phi Kappa Phi, Alpha Chi, Delta Tau Alpha and the Society for Range Management. He has served on several committees and the editorial board of the American Society of Animal Science.
